FIOS is not reliable. Internet drops 20x a day.

Since I got FIOS internet, it has not worked properly for more than a week at a time. I only have the Internet, the 25/25 plan and it is great when it works. My Internet drops so many times a day that I cannot count. The drops are completely random and intermittent. When this happens, the "Internet" light on the router turns off for about 30 seconds. In the router logs, it says "Wan Coax Link Down". I know this may seem insignificant, but any downtime at all for the Internet can cause major problems. I have tried two Actiontec routers, had the ONT replaced, and spent months upon months researching this problem. Right after the ONT got replaced the Internet did not drop for about a solid six days, and after those six days it started to drop again just like normal. I am extremely curious to why it was so solid for six days and then it started dropping. I cannot pinpoint anything that can reproduce this problem. I know that a lot of people are also having this problem and I wonder why it is so widespread. If anybody has any insight, I would love to hear it. I am getting very frustrated with Verizon's service and now that rates are going up, I'm starting to consider switching to a different ISP.

Your issue has been escalated to a Verizon agent. Before the agent can begin assisting you, they will need to collect further information from you. Please go to your profile page for the forum and look at the top of the middle column where you will find an area titled "My Support Cases". You can reach your profile page by clicking on your name beside your post, or at the top left of this page underneath the title of the board.

Under "My Support Cases" you will find a link to the private board where you and the agent may exchange information. The title of your post is the link. This should be checked on a frequent basis, as the agent may be waiting for information from you before they can proceed with any actions. To ensure you know when they have responded to you, at the top of your support case there is a drop down menu for support case options. Open that and choose "subscribe". Please keep all correspondence regarding your issue in the private support portal.
