FIOS speed slow!!!

I have the FIOS 50/50  intenet plan  and every speed test I have tried shows my dowload speed at an average of 12 mbps and my upload at about 1 mbps.  This is with an ethernet connection directly to the verizon router.  Has anyone else experience this sort of substantial speed discrepancy?

Well I would call 1-800-VERIZON and have a tech come out.

you could also have them see if it's a bad router.

the tech should have provisioned you and tested your connection and speed the day it was installed.

call tech support and get it fixed.

Run a test to speedtest.verizon.net if you haven't already.

That tests your connection to the Verizon network (only thing they can guarantee).

What type and model PC do you have?
Are you doing the test with no other Internet activity going on?

Is this a new service or had it been fine and recently went bad?

What model router do you have?
