Internet calls using Skype or Communicator drops every few minutes

I have no problems with internet browsing at home, but making phone calls using skype or communicator (via VPN) drops few minutes, which then shows that there is no internet connection and then internet connection comes back on and the call will drop after another few minutes...I wonder if it's because the internet / wireless is not stable.

Anyone has similar problems? Can anyone help me with it? Thanks!
