I'm on my 3rd, soon to be 4th Mi424WR router, the last 3 from the LAN functionality/connection failing - the first just died of old age (6 years on the network). Is this a known issue with these new FIOS wireless routers? is there a fix other than waiting 3-4 days for a new router to arrive from VZ after spending a day on the phone with their tech support trouble shooting the router only to determine that the LAN coax connection/terminal on the router is bad.
It's very unusual for the coax LAN interface to go bad.
It's much more common for a splitter to fail or for a coax cable connection to oxidize and cause problems.
If you've experienced the same problem on 3 different routers, it not the routers that are bad.
I'd start by disconnecting each coax connection and then reconnecting it.
This will usually remove any oxidation from the connection.
I would then check your MOCA LAN stats.

Please post your results from checking your MOCA LAN stats (the second part of the FAQ).
If you have poor MOCA signal levels, the problem is bad coax or a bad splitter.
