Hi, Was wondering instead of paying for verizon modem,  can i just buy one  or some is giving me one to use........  i want to use my own.

Provided that you are not confused DSL vs FIOS, yes you can buy your own modem.

I got two DSL modems that I got my self.

Verizon's Actiontec GT784WNV from Walmart.

and the Zoom X5 5564 (non a unit).
