I have the Actiontec router in the basement now. Is it possible to move the router to the middle level of the home ? Do I have to call up Verizon to do this for me, since I notice a FIOS cable (about 6feet long) hooked on to the router ?

You can move the router yourself without calling Verizon. All you need to do is run the same type of cable from the ONT to the new location. Or use a connector and run it from the existing cable.

Worked fine, I had an active Coax in the level above. It was just a matter of getting a Coax cable, moving the router one level up & connecting it to the outlet. Total cost = $1.99.. thanks
