I have a Netgear USB adapter to plug in to connect my desk top to the Verizon Router, the sgnal strength is good but it does not connect wireless.
The Router is MI 424 WR and the adapter is Netgear N 600 dual band 802.11, wich worked with the Netgear router I had before. Any advise is appreciated.

Make sure you have compatible encryption settings between the router and your computer.
You don't say what hardware revision of the Actiontec you have.
The current rev. I defaults to WPA2 encryption.
Older Asctiontecs default to WEP encryption.
And of course, they have to have the same pass phrase.
