About a month ago, I decided to switch to Verizon for tv/internet/phone..ALL of my neighbors have FIOS internet and tv...So..I got online and switched to Verizon and called Cox Communications to cancel my service with them. Service which, by the way, I had NEVER had a problem with..EVER! Well..when I ordered services online, I ordered thinking i was getting FIOS Internet and Cable...BUT THEN...I get a message about Direct TV...I didnt want satellite! Anyways...Service was SUPPOSED to be on by July 10th...but it wasnt working on that date! Verizon sent a tech to my house on the 14th!! He informed me that I only had 1Mbps internet!! He said the neighbors had FIOS and he couldnt understand why they werent providing it to me as well! He left, and within 30 minutes, my prehistoric internet was dropping every few minutes! Today is the 18th and another tech finally came out! He said that for my work, there is NO WAY I will be able to work with the 1.5Mbps that Verizon has given me..and that he can see that poles right next to my house have FIOS, but they didnt run it to my pole!! I ONLY switched to Verizon because the pricing was FIVE DOLLARS cheaper than Cox Communications!! I am about to call Cox back and tell them to turn my service with them back on...This is ridiculous!! I now have NO TV at my house and internet that is quite comparible to dial up!! I cant get anyone on the phone who can help..they tell me I have to speak to billing or tech support..then I get put on hold for an hour with no one answering the phone at all!! This is insane!! I am kicking myself for switching to Verizon right now...If I had known how horrible the service was..I would have stayed with Cox and paid the extra $5 per month and had smooth flowing internet and my cable!! Also...one more thing..the phone service stinks!! I cant access voice mail because I have never received ANY info on how to access it..NOTHING AT ALL!! I have been billed for services from the 10th..but have NOT had access to the service! I can not reach anyone in billing to adjust the bill to reflect that Verizon has NOT been able to get my internet up and running correctly!! And when i ordered FIOS and got lousy off and on almost like dial up crud internet..well..I think this is horrible!! This has messed me up with work..I have to bring work home from the office and work on it at night..but I have NOT been able to do my work in OVER A WEEK!! When a company offers a service, they should provide good service!! Tomorrow, I am calling Cox back and since I still have all of my equipment from them..I am sure it will be simple to turn my service back on..ALL 3 SERVICES!! and then I will cancel Verizon...In over a week..I should have been able to get at least ONE decent agent on the phone who would try to fix these problems!! but I have not found even one!!

Before the agent can begin assisting you, they will need to collect further information from you.Please go to your profile page for the forum, and look in the middle, right at the top where you will find an area titled "My Support Cases". You can reach your profile page by clicking on your name beside your post, or at the top left of this page underneath the title of the board.
Under “My Support Cases” you will find a link to the private board where you and the agent may exchange information. This should be checked on a frequent basis as the agent may be waiting for information from you before they can proceed with any actions. Please keep all correspondence regarding your issue in the private support portal.
