Time outs

I have just moved over to Verizon from AOL.  I like it but I have  problem with time outs. If I'm cking emails and issue then move to wok on a doc, then go back to the internet more often than not I have to resign in. UGH 

this could be 15 mins or even as short as 2 mins.  HELP
