Verizon is a COMPLETE RIP OFF! WHERE ARE THE LAWS THAT IS SUPPOSE TO PROTECT THE COMSUMER!?

I AM SO SICK OF VERIZON! JUST AS EVERYONE ELSE, YOU ARE LIED TO AND TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF. AFTER TRYING TO RENEW MY CONTRACT AND NOT BEING SATISFIED, I WENT TO CANCEL MY SERVICES. SPOKE TO TOM IN THE DISCONNECT SVC DEPT. WHO SEEMED TO BE HONEST AND SEEMED TO KNOW WHAT HE WAS SAYING. WELL FIRST A LITTLE HISTORY HERE.  ON 10/19/17 WE HAD SPOKEN TO SOMEONE WHO GAVE ME FREE HBO WITH RENEWING MY CONTRACT, TOLD HIM I WOULD THINK ABOUT IT BUT AFTER NOT RECEIVING THE CANNELS WE WERE PROMISED I CALLED AGAIN ON 10-21 SPOKE TO SOMEONE NAMED KERRI WHO ASSURED ME I CALLED AND GOT THE RIGHT PERSON ON THE PHONE AND THAT SHE KNEW HER JOB VERY WELL AND THAT I WOULD STILL HAVE 30 DAYS TO CANCEL MY CONTRACT, SO SHE SWITCHED US BACK TO OUR OLD CONTRACT SO WE WOULD HAVE OUR CHANNELS WITH THE "FREE HBO" CHANNEL BUT LOWERED OUR INTERNET SPEED AND SAID SAID SHE WOULD CALL ME BACK ON MONDAY MORNING THE 23RD TO LET ME KNOW WHAT SHE COULD DO TO IMPROVE THE PRICE.  WELL AS YOU CAN GUESS NO CALL FROM KERRI. I WAITED A WHOLE WEEK AND CALLED BACK ON 10/28 TO CANCEL OUR SERVICES. THIS IS WHEN I GOT TOM ON THE PHONE, WHO ONCE AGAIN I FELL INTO BELIEVING WE FINALLY HAD SOMEONE WHO KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING AND IS GOING TO HELP US. SO HE CHANGED OUR CONTRACT AGAIN GIVING US 1 GIGABYTE OF SPEED AND HBO. WELL HERE COMES THE WEEKEND AND NO HBO SO I CALLED ON SUNDAY WHERE WE ARE TOLD WE HAVE TO CALL BACK ON MONDAY, TODAY 10/30/17. WELL CAN'T TELL YA HOW MANY MORE I SPOKE TO AND SAID WELL YOU SIGNED A NEW CONTRACT AND UNFORTUNATELY THAT DEAL IS NOT ON THE NEW CONTRACT SO WE CAN'T GIVE IT TO YOU! BUT FOR ANOTHER PRICE OF $15.00 MORE A MONTH WE WILL!  SO AFTER SPEAKING TO CHRISTINA, MIND YOU FOR OVER 1.20 HRS PART BEING ON HOLD, BRITTANY A SUPERVISOR THAT I WAITED FOR OVER HALF HOUR TO COME TO THE PHONE BEGINS TO TELL ME THE SAME THING .. SORRY NOT ON THE CONTRACT. THEN GREG AND FINALLY GERRY, ALL I DID WAS GET MORE **bleep**! SO ALTHOUGH I "HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THAT ANY OF THEM GO BACK AND LISTEN TO THE RECORDINGS  NO ONE DID! WHATS MORE SPECIAL IS BRITTANY ASKED ME FOR A TIME OF DAY THAT I SPOKE WITH TOM IN ORDER FOR HER TO CHECK...REALLY! I TOLD GERRY WHO BY THE WAY IS SUPPOSE TO BE A SUPERVISOR IN THE CANCELLATION DEPT. TOLD ME THAT BECAUSE I WAS AN EXISTING CUSTOMER THAT I ONLY HAD 24 HRS TO CANCEL ,MY CONTRACT AND NOT THE 30 DAYS I WAS TOLD BY NOT 1 BUT 2 OF VERIZON'S EMPLOYEES!. WELL I WILL BE FIGHTING THIS ONE! AND I TOLD HIM SO. WHERE IS THE LAW TO PROTECT CONSUMERS. PLEASE EMAIL ME

Your issue has been escalated to a Verizon agent. Before the agent can begin assisting you, they will need to collect further information from you. Please go to your profile page for the forum and scroll down the page to an area titled "My Support Cases". You can reach your profile page by clicking on your name located above your post, or at the top right of this page.

Under "My Support Cases" you will find a link to the private board where you and the agent may exchange information. The title of your post is the link. This should be checked on a frequent basis, as the agent may be waiting for information from you before they can proceed with any actions. To ensure you know when they have responded to you, you may subscribe to the case. At the top right of your support case there is a gear icon which provides a drop down menu with support case options. Click that and choose "subscribe". Please keep all correspondence regarding your issue in the private support portal.
