I'm on the 35mbps DOWNLOAD and 35mbps UPLOAD Internet FIOS package. I've been getting very slow speeds, so I'm just curious about some things, I've been a FIOS user since it came out.
How many megabytes per second (MB/s) does my package equal out to? I'm just wondering what speeds I should be getting? How many Megbytes per second is 35/35?

What Steve said. There are 8 bits to the byte, so conversion in either direction is easy, multiply or divide by 8.

Test your speed here. It will show you what you are getting in mega bits per second, which is what the 35/35 is based on. Also there is a speed optimizer that may help optimize your machine.

If you have been a FiOS user since it came out, you may have the older ONT610x that limits upload speeds to 29. Open the cover and check the model number. If it is the old style, Verizon should replace it at no cost to the ONT612.. Also for users that upgraded to 35/35 they made calls to reach out to those customers regarding if it was a concern to them. If the customer wanted the 35/35 and not 35/29, they would schedule the tech visit. People are getting near 43/35 now.
