Every every few days, wireless devices are able to reach the Internet and most direct wired items do not. Very strange. In addition, when this happens the Router/Modem indicates that it is not connected to the Internet - server status fails and VOD is not available. I have the Gateway G-1100 router and a FIOS net extender (WCB6200) with 100 Mbps service. I was given a new G-1100 and it was OK for a few days. Re-booting the router does nothing. Re-booting the ONT “usually” fixes the problem. Any ideas?

Make sure all your LAN ports are actually connected to a wired device. It sounds like you might have an ethernet cable connected to two different LAN ports.
