I have a new laptop computer and a wired dsl connection would like to take it on vacation with me do I need anything to make it wifi or something that will pick up my homepage while traveling

Essentially every new laptop is equipped with wireless capability, so hardware-wise you're ready to go.  Verizon has a WiFi service that FiOS subscribers can use on-the-go, but it may not pertain to your particular DSL package.  Check this page:
