xbox360 no internet with westell 7500 help

just changed to a new westell 7500 modem.  Laptops work fine. However my xbox 360 no longer has internet connection.(wireless).   I have added the ssid and wep to the xbox but still no connection.  error tells me to change the router from 802.11g to 802.11a.  dont know how to do that. And it also says try to open up a NAT??? Not sure how to do that either.

Help please.

That is weird / very strange.

I know that the xbox is connected by wireless to this modem. What is connected to the xbox that allows it to use wireless?
