Just found out after going down the Verizon 'chat' rabbit hole that I no longer have the Science Channel. It was dropped and NOBODY told me it was happening. Watched it last night, and today, 'poof' it was gone. What the heck? Verizon needs to restore it to the packages it was removed from.

They actually sent a tech out to troubleshoot the issue instead of just owning up to the fact they dropped the channel. The tech told me they moved it to the ultimate package. This is the game they are playing. Have the contract expire..drop the channel...bring it back in a higher package.. I told Verizon I am paying for a package with this channel and I expect it back in my packge.

Just discovered this myself. Now they want $30 more for the same crap I had yesterday. Makes streaming a whole lot more attractive.

Wasted a lot of time to find out Verizon dropped it from my package. More incentive to drop cable altogether

So super upset about this since I pay for the extreme package that includes every dang channel except the sports package and it states I have the science channel as part of my package but they killed the channels. So not right and for dang near $300 a month including equipment this is unacceptable

What a bunch of crap. Are we getting anything new in place of loosing my beloved Science Channel? Probable a home shopping channel, if anything. I’ll consider Spectrum now!

Completely unacceptable. Verizon will lose business if they keep this up. Add one channel back for $15 a month…..are they serious?

The best part, it still shows on their website as being part of my package. WTH are they doing. I swear they are becoming just like an Extended Auto Warranty company.
"Oh, we told you that was covered when you bought the plan but if you review page 556, paragraph 3 line 6 it clearly states that we can and will change the terms and covered parts at our whimsy. I'd hate to be you."
Pretty much sums up my chat conversation with Verizon today.

Contacted the online chat about this. Only 4G offer was to loose other channels and home phone to put back the science channel for only a slight increase!!?? Or upgrade to an offer that includes 5G. When I said I do not want 5G, the chat was disconnected!

I sit down after dinner to watch... and I get some message on the screen. I was confused. Well... power of Google.. I end up here. One of the handful channels that I care to watch. Totally not happy!

What the hell Verizon? Like I don't pay enough just to have you take away the Science Channel? Asking me to pay $15 more per month for one channel I always had and according to YOUR OWN WEBSITE is still in my package is ridiculous. Restore the channel and stop being greedy. If not, be ready for people leaving, your not the only game in town anymore.

They take away the Science channel and expect me to pay another 35 dollars to upgrade. This isn't the first time they have done this. They are losing another customer. This is **bleep**!!!

I was on chat for an hour while I got passed from one 'expert' to another that had no idea what was going on. Told me to power cycle my boxes and reset my modem, then tried to up-sell me a better package while still not providing an explanation. Maybe it's time to ditch underhanded moves like this.

We are completely disgusted with Verizon—-waited a half hour for a hapless, unhelpful person only to learn more in this forum. We get garbage channels and Science is the one they dropped with no notice? We’re rethinking our options. This is not how you treat customers who are already paying a premium.

Verizon is history. Get the Discovery + subscription. This is so very "Verizon" to take away something with no notice and try to force us to upgrade. Totally Unacceptable. I've had good luck with Roku.

My kid looks forward to watching How It's Made every Sunday morning. She's very disappointed. So I got a Discovery+ trial, but she doesn't want to pick the shows herself, she wants live TV. At an extra $31/month, it's not worth it. I can get what we want at another cable company, for less money. There's the risk of letting an installer into my house in the era of COVID - I have diabetes - but it may be worth it.
It's really odd that Verizon can arbitrarily remove any or all stations from the package I contracted to, but if I want to end the contract, I need to pay an early termination fee.

How am I going to keep up with Ancient Aliens? We were discussing how to cut back on our Verizon bill. This is just incentive to find a way. At least tell people it’s coming! So bummed.
