How do I determine/find 3D channels on Verizon FIOS? I have 3D TV but don't know of any channels broadcasting 3D content.
Solved! Go to Correct Answer
There are no "3D channels" on FIOS as of yet. But 3D can be found OnDemand. Go to BROWSE ALL>HIGH DEFINITION>HD 3D. Also, go to PREMIUM CHANNELS>HBO>HBO 3D. A 24-hr 3D channel is going to start up soon (from Sony, Discovery, and IMAX) but it hasn't launched as of yet. Maybe by summer.

Thanks. That is what I thought, but they have an instructional video on how to watch 3D on FIOS for TV. They need to get rolling on this!
Here is what I know about available 3D programming on FIOS TV:
HBO 3D: This is one of the categories on HBO's HD On-Demand channel (scroll through the categories on the "HBO on demand" channel-it must be the HD one-until you see HBO3D). Note that I called Verizon before ordering service, and they didn't even know that they had this programming (they always tell you that they only have ESPN 3D). Programs are free with the HBO subscription
Starz 3D: This is also one of the categories on the Starz On-Demand channel (just like HBO above). Free with the Starz subscription
HD On Demand: There is a 3D category here too, but you must pay for most of the shows. There ARE some free ones, however
ESPN 3D: This is a 24-hour paid subscription (all programming is in 3D)
If memory serves, I think that FIOS has one other 3D "Event" channel, but every time I checked it there was nothing on it. The reason that I say I "think" there is one is that I recently switched from Brighthouse cable to Verizon, and could be confusing the two.
Regretably ESPN 3d is now off the air.
Its been awhile since verizon did a special event in 3d, but they have in the past. What channel they used varied.
Epix has occassionally had a 3d VOD.
Starz and HBO have regular 3d VOD.
And some charge and some free VOD are offered by Verizon.
