Often on this forum we try to help various signal quality issues by suggesting different cabling hook up options. HDMI is an industry standard, but has several drawbacks - one of which is the multitude of HDMI variants, with some manufacturers even putting speed labels on them. So, which one do you really need? Especially at some of the prices seen? I ran across a good simple explanation at AVSForum.com, which redirected me to Cepro.com. I don't know how to make a link, but this should work:
www.cepro.com/article/when_is_high_speed_hdmi_required/
Hope that helps some. Thank you.
