Can I bring my FIOS DVR to another house (which has FIOS ) and use it for one day ?

Want to watch DVR-recorded shows from my Cable-Box at my mother's (she doesn' t have a DVR).   Can I use my DVR to watch recorded shows, plus regular TV for the day at my mother's house without switching boxes back and forth ?
