in modern game consoles (we have a Wii) the game console has an hdmi connector which is inserted into an available hdmi connection on the tv. If your tv does not have hdmi you would need an adapter which is available at Walmart or Best Buy etc.
so let’s say your tv has hdmi so how many? In our tv we have 6 of which 3 are 60mhz and 3@ 30 MHz. The higher the faster, so one would have your set top box, one would have your first game console, the third one would have your other game console, and so on if you wanted to use a Blu Ray player in another. As long as there were available spots you use them.
I don’t use Fios set top boxes but had cable which is simular in nature.
