Hey all. I want to enable the caller ID functionality on two of my STBs in the house, but I have two renters in other rooms in the house. Obviously I don't want them to see the caller ID on their TVs. I know I can turn it off on their STBs, but what's stopping them from going in and turning it right back on?
I've already gone through the Parental Access areas in the STB Menu and didn't find what I wanted. Basically, is there any wayt to prevent the renters in my home from accessing some or all of the menu on their STBs?
I am sorry but there is no way to lock down the equipment in the way you are describing. It's a great suggestion though! This would be a perfect candidate for the Verizon Idea Exchange.
