I'm using the Fios mobile app on my iPhone and iPad and for both devices, the app is telling me that I'm not connected to my home wifi. As a result, I'm only given 6 channels that I can watch live.
In all instances where I'm using the app, I am indeed on my Verizon Fios Wifi network ... so I'm not sure why I'm getting this error. The app used to work when both of my devices were on iOS 6 ... ever since I updated to iOS 7, I've been having problems. Whats the deal?
Do you happen to have a second rotuer on your newtwork that you are using to connect to wifi?
Nope. I'm connecting staight to the router that Verizon provided me.
Having the same exact issue, any fix to this?
Can you determine the IP of your mobile device and STB? STB is found by going to menu-stettings-stb information.
If they are not on the same subnet, that is why it will say you are not on the home network.
My iPad and my router are both on the same subnet (255.255.255.0) ... I really have no clue what the issue is.
I logged into my router settings and the router definitely sees both the STB and my iPad. I also tested the network connection and it worked fine on both. Anybody have ideas on how to fix this?!

Internet Protocol version 4 (IPv4) is the fourth version in the development of the Internet Protocol (IP) Internet, and routes most traffic on the Internet.[1] However, a successor protocol, IPv6, has been defined and is in various stages of production deployment. IPv4 is described in IETF publication RFC 791 (September 1981), replacing an earlier definition (RFC 760, January 1980).
IPv4 is a connectionless protocol for use on packet-switched networks. It operates on a best effort delivery model, in that it does not guarantee delivery, nor does it assure proper sequencing or avoidance of duplicate delivery. These aspects, including data integrity, are addressed by an upper layer transport protocol, such as the Transmission Control Protocol (TCP).
