Univision is good for the community. It's also where to go for LigaMX games - you can't find those anywhere else.

I just read that Unvision and FIOS will be parting ways becuase according to FIOS Univision's costs to FIOS will go up by double and to tried to negotiated better pricing -- to no avail. Since FIOS will no longer pay Univision for it's services, I propose that FIOS reduce our monthly bills for the cost of Univision that it will no longer pay. Otherwise, consumers are paying for services not rendered.

It hard to say how much they pay.
Verizon's message states that subscribing to Univision Now (streaming service) at $5.99/month or $49.99/year is better deal than what they are being asked to pay for viewers.
But that is where the amth gets hard. Without knowing how many viewers FIOS has, hard to know how much the cost actually is.
If only 20% are regular viewers, could be less than a dollar a month (if they are comparing to yearly fee).

Here we go again! Just realized that getTV is gone from the channel lineup. Why was it removed? The classic tv shows are the only stations I watch. Please bring it back!

I was just about to tune into GetTV because really, there's nothing on after a Flyers Loss. The guide said that In The Heat Of The Night was playing.
Instead of seeing that show, I ended up watching why Univision was taken off the channel line up in both English and Spanish. Black Screen, White Writing. Why is this happening? I don't think that GetTV is a part of Univision?

GetTv is carried as a subchannel to a local channel.
Is Univision a primary local channel in your area.
If so, they GetTv was probably a sub channel to that station. And therefore removed when main channel was removed.

We've been a customer of Verizon FIOS TV, Internet and telephone since it first became available in my area about 13 years ago. Our bill has increased to about $300/month. Over the past six months or so, Verizon has terminated their eMail service, which caused me a fair bit of work to change all my services to a Microsoft Live Account - better service. Now that Verizon is in a pricing dispute with Univision, they have chosen to remove the prime Latino Channels with current programming and old movies - De Pelicula and one Cine Nastalgia. My wife is from South America and enjoys programming that speaks to her culture. Unfortunately, I will need to switch Internet and TV providers if this isn't resolved soon. I also find it irritating that Verizon has to my knowledge not offered any monthly reduction of service prices until and if the dispute with Univision is resolved - very poor management decision. (BTW, I'll just use our Vonage as our home phone and drop the old fashioned landline service too.) My Roku account provides UnivisionNow for $5.99/month and is an option, but I'm more inclined to go with another service provider b/c my wife likes to record programming. Verizon Management - you have a decision to make. I realize your world is changing with technology pushing folks to alternate viewing sources, but you need to think strategically and not tactically defend small revenue streams within the very large revenue streams you have. Regards, Don Odioso

If you don't carry Univision, I don't want your service!! And I should not be charged an early termination fee. I watch Univision affiliated channels ALL the time....without those channels I would have never signed up for two years!!!

I understand the problem for Verizon RE: costs for keeping Univision. I hope we'll hear from them too. The network is having difficult times, so I can expect a rate increase, but not double at Verizon has claimed. My point is -- if we're not paying for a past service, we shouldn't be charge the same past rate. Yes, I want to see Unvision on our channel line-up. Maybe Verizon should assess which are the channels that people watch and reassess who they'll keep and pay for more popular ones.

Gracias
