Multiple rooms with DVRs networked together? Multi-hub? Media Server?

Hey,

Thanks in advance for the help.

Is there a solution for connecting multiple DVRs to one another that allows things recorded on one DVR to be viewable on the other DVRs?

For example, if there are 4 rooms, is it possible to record something on room 2, and have it viewable in rooms 1, 3 and 4 as well? Or any of the other configurations? Without having to rely on a single "multiroom" a situation in which things recorded anywhere could be viewable anywhere.

Additionally, would there be a solution that would allow the above, and also allow each room to have their own private recordings?

For example, if parents recorded something in their room that they wanted their kids to see, but also wanted to be able to view their own programs just for themselves.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you

The multi hub feature is what you are referring to which you would have to call billing about to find out how much it costs. If you were to add that feature you could label the living room as "living room" then additional rooms such as bedrooms as "bedroom 1", bedroom 2", "bedroom 3". Once you have that multi hub feature you can pick which programs from what rooms whose programs you want to see while also setting up parental controls if there are children there who you do not want to see any content that you consider to be adults only content. Each box has to be programmed with what shows you want to set up as a series so that they can have the content that you want that are exclusively to be recorded on those boxes only. So in essence you can do all of the things you are asking for provided you have several dvrs and the multi hub feature too. Now the six tuner dvr is something that is about six months away where with that dvr what will be included is the option to have mini clients to set set up recordings in additional rooms too if you were to also get that new router that is on the way that will be necessary for those mini clients to wirelessly conncect to that router that will be released when the six tuner dvr is released.

Right now the multi room dvr is the only option we have, but a media server is coming soon. We're all just waiting for its release.
