While Verizon is saving money by having Nexstar remove stations during their fee dispute, customers of Verizon should demand refunds for the unavailability of stations they cannot view, including local stations that cannot be seen as a consequence.

So we should all start calling Verizon to tell them to fix this or give us a discount since we are paying the same amount and I signed up for these channels.

Fios customers are screwed once again.  We recently lost OANN over political issues.  I understand cbs sports can be seen on Fios 2 premier options.  Of course, they can pocket either an addirional $10 or $20.  Customer service is aweful!

So Verizon is disappointed and working (sic) hard to restore Nexstar programs. Well, I'm just {word filter avoidance} that Verizon can't negotiate with it's program providers and provide paying customers with the services for which they (Verizon) are contractually obligated to provide. It is now two (2) days w/o the Nexstar programming, and I shall be deducting a fair, or randomly determined amount (seems to work for Verizon), from my payments for each day that Verizon  continues. It would be interesting to hear from Verizon, but they probably don't care. Time to install that digital antenna, and sign up for Hulu. Should also drop their wireless service, just because.

And how come when I login to my account, there is no option to request / vent/ chat with someone about the poor customer service Verizon provides (actually neglects) when asking about program providers dropped, or removed - again, customers lose service w/o any compensation from Verizon.

We shouldn’t have to demand anything.  They should just be given.  Corporations just don’t care about their customers anymore.  Verizon is not an exception.

So, in the last year we’ve lost 6 channels that I’m aware of.

  • ABC (Was *naughty word* about this one, till I realized that DWTS is now only on Disney+, ‘The Good Doctor’ is on HULU, and ‘American Idol’ doesn’t start till spring. So all I’ll really be missing is the local news.)
  • AWE (watched rarely, but had beautiful travel shows)
  • BYUtv (religious channel that I rarely watched, but it was home to a neat little show called ‘The Story Trek’)
  • COZItv (almost never watched anyway)
  • NewsNation (almost never watched anyway)
  • OAN (watched daily and now have to stream on KlowdTV)

But don’t worry everyone, Verizon is compensating us for our losses by…

HA! Got you on that one. 🤣 Silly rabbit, Verizon doesn’t care if you stay or go. They seem to be ready to shut down their overpriced cable and just become an internet provider.

Actually, I think it is illegal. There's something called the "must carry" rule (dating back to 1965, was it overturned with the Telecommunications Act of 1996?) where, according to the FCC, " broadcast signals that are subject to mandatory carriage must be 'viewable via cable on all television receivers of a subscriber which are connected to a cable system by a cable operator or for which a cable operator provides a connection.'" Complaining to either Nexstar or Verizon is pointless here, I've contacted all my Congressmen about this and encourage everyone here in every state to do the same as this isn't an isolated incident (note all the old threads about the same issue).

Please make compromises and get nexstar channels back on the air.  CBS carries the best lineup on TV.  Why am I paying you if you can’t deliver a basic channel?  I was non- plussed by the gaul of your company to send us sites we can pay additional costs to if we want to watch channels you promised.  Are you kidding?
