Splash taken off On Demand today

Crappy show on ABC, but we were watching it On Demand yesterday, and shut it off halfway thru.   Went to put it on tonight and not only was the entire show deleted from On Demand, but now if we want to watch it, Verizon wants $2.99.  What's that all about??  Pay for On Demand on ABC?  Doesn't make sense.
