Suggest Channels to Add to Fios TV

Hello All,

I've seen quite a few threads and posts floating around suggesting various channels/programs you would like to see on FiOS TV.  In an effort to consolidate the information, I have decided to create this single thread about the subject.  Feel free to reply to it with your suggestion(s) on what you would like to see on FiOS TV.

Please note:  I make no promises as to whether or not you will see these channels/programs on FiOS TV.  Though I do know that the right people here at Verizon are looking at this thread for your feedback and advice on the matter.

I've been directed here after a general inquiry to Verizon support.

I am in the Hershey, PA market - zip 17036 - VHO 3314. The channel I would like to request is Comcast Sports Net - Mid Atlantic (CSN-MA). I know that Verizon currently provides this channel in markets just to the south of us. Currently, in our market, we have MASN, another Washington, D.C. sports channel. We also have CSN-Philadelphia here. It would seem logical to offer CSN-MA here.

I believe you would be able to offer this channel on a higher package and have considerable customers choose it. CSN-MA is the home of the Washington Capitals. The Harrisburg/Hershey area has a lot of hockey fans, with the Hershey Bears AHL team here. The Washington Capitals are the NHL affiliate of the Hershey Bears. For that reason alone, there is a great deal of interest in this channel in this area.

Also, Comcast is currently providing this channel in this market. I know of a lot of people in the area who remain with Comcast for this reason. Frankly, as much as I love Fios, it is a consideration for me to move back to Comcast just for this channel.

Please consider the addition of this channel in the Central PA market. Verizon would make existing customers happy, as well as attract new customers. People in this area are passionate about their sports, and CSN-MA would tie in to that nicely.

Please let me know if there is anyone else at Verizon that may help me with this request.

Please add more Polish international channels that are also offered by DishNetwork as

ITVN,TVN24,Polsat.

I know a lot of people that would love to switch to Verizon FIOS but they can't get these channels.

Hello,

I want to see ALL the channels that are part of the NHL Centre Ice Package broadcast in HD.  A very small number of channels, typically only 1 or 2 per night are televised in HD.  I am NOT referring to games that are televised on either Versus or NHL Network as though as always in HD.  This is VERY frustrating as I was fomerly a DirecTV customer and could watch 80-90% of the NHL games in HD.  Frankly, I would like to have an answer soon (prior to October 31st when payment is due for the NHL centre ice package) because that will be a determining factor in whether or not I purchase it and stay a Verizon FIOS customer or not.  Please advise ASAP.   Thank you!

You took away ESPN Classics, I would like to see that returned to the line-up and I would like to have the Golf Channel added as I used to get that as part of my Comcast package!

I've seen lots of requests for BBC America HD going back to the 2009 - the beginning of this topic.

What's so difficult about getting that one added?

We have Boston and RI local news stations for ABC, NBC, and CBS.  We have local FOX news for RI, but NOT Boston. 

 We live in southeastern Massachusetts and would like to have the local Fox news for MASSACHUSETTS available to us.  I don't understand why this channel is missing from the lineup...

Incidentally your competitor, Comcast/Infinity, does offer both the RI and Boston stations.

Univision, Telemundo, and Telefutura recently made the switch to HD.  The standard def versions are currently available on Fios.  However, I would like to see the HD versions of them added.
