TV package upgrade

I am trying to upgrade my TV service from the essential package to the extreme hd package. I did the order online but mistakenly ordered 2 new STB's along with the package. I called and canceled the STB order and requested just the package upgrade.
How long should it take to get the upgrade?

My programming changes (add/remove movie channels) have always been the same day, usually within hours. I would imagine package upgrades would be the same. Verizon reps have always said within a few days, but it has never taken that long.
