Sorry for the troubles with the service. We have previously copied this post to our private support board and we are currently awaiting your response.
This is a fairly common problem with the new world of digital TV. Most new TVs have a circuit to handle the synch issues, because the audio signal is processed faster than the more intensive video signal, so the audio needs to be delayed a bit. Here are some things to try:
Do you have the latest firmware for your TV?
Are all connections secure and tight?
Is your HDMI connection direct to the TV or does it go through a receiver? Some modern TVs and most recent AVRs have time delay menus for this problem. Check your equipment.
Try disabling the bell & whistle video processing features on the TV, such as frame rate doubling and motion controls. If your TV has a "game" mode, disable that. You will have to experiment some to see what works or doesn't.
Thanks for the help. I tried rebooting both the cable box and TV by unplugging them, letting them sit for several minutes, and powering them back up. This seems to have resolved the issue. Thanks again for the support.
Note that voices out of sync needs to be tested on live top show if possible. Voices not in sync for some programs, notably movies can also be because of relooping.
But as said most out of sync problems are because of problems on your equipment. The rest are usually the broadcasters or source problem and almost never is it your provider (verizon in this case).
