long coax OK?

I am just installing FIOS. I will have 150 feet of RG-6 coax from the FIOS entry point in the house to the set-top box. Will this work OK, or is it too long of a run?

You may want to check out this thread from a previous forum participant that also had a long cable run. Keep in mind that the impedance of the cable itself will cause signal loss, as will the splitters. You may need amplification.
