My grandmother passed away and the account is in her name. Can we put the account in our name and keep her number?

I know someone who looked into changing the account holder when their spouse died. At that time, Verizon wanted to charge a fee to process the name change. I've no idea if that's still true or if you can even do it if you're not a spouse of the account holder. Again, best to call Verizon and ask them.
You might also consider moving the phone number to VoIP provider.
Good Luck.
