In October of 2016 I scaled back my services to 50/50 Internet. At that time I returned my quantum gateway router. I recently noticed that I had been charged $10.00/month for the router I returned for the last 16 months. I contacted Verizon, and submitted dispute number {edited for privacy} along with written confirmation that Verizon had recieved the equipment. I was told someone would contact me within 5 business days. This never happened. I noticed that a credit was associated to my account for 130.00 not 160.00. Additionally, they were still charging me for the returned equipment on the last bill. I called to cancel my service, and was informed that would cost me over $80.00. I have since submitted complaints to the NYS Attorney Generals Office, and the Better Business Bureau. There will be more written complaints to come. My experience with fios has been the worst of any of the service providers that sell to my area by far. Preditory business practices, below average performance, and awful customer service.
they are the first place you should contact.
