A recent septic tank service turned into a cut fiber optic line that was 2 inches under the surface of the ground and 1 inch over top of the septic tank removable cover. The charge for a new drop line was never mentioned nor was there an attempt to repair the severed line. The poor practices of contractors put the home owner in a very poor position as their provider supports this sub standard work. The contractor that perfomred the routine septic cleanout cut the cable while hand digging 2 inhes below ground level, very dissapointing knowing that this is the depth at which your contractors bury your delivery infrastructure.
CMR has requested payment of $1,506.46 for the drop line replacement. This was never mentioned during the repair conversation with Verizon and dissapointing that the I was not presented with options. As the homeowner and a long time verizon customer, I am requesting support in resolving this issue.
Thank you.
