Exceptional service recognition

In the midst of a particularly frustrating service change for my internet and FIOS TV (which is not finished yet nor totally successful) that has extended over 10 days, I had a very impressive and proactive exchange and support from a Verizon employee that I would like to recognzie. After my insistance that I wanted to acknowledge his positive efforts, he reluctantly gave me what he called a "commendation line" phone number. When I call it it says it is not in service. Is there a way for me to acknowledge this superior service in a way that will make it to the appropriate supervisors?
