FIOS Gift Card Reward- No card!

I received a promotion in the mail for Verizon Wireless customers- switch to FIOS and receive a $250 gift card. We decided to switch and I went online to sign up. I started to chat with a Verizon agent online, who set up my service and assured me that the $250 gift card promotion would be processed after 60 days of service with no late payments. When I called today to inquire about the status of my gift card, I was transferred multiple times, then I was told that the promotion was never on the original order and there was nothing that could be done about it. I spend $500 per month with Verizon Wireless and Fios, and have used Verizon services for over 20 years. I feel I was completely duped and am seriously considering switching ALL of my services elsewhere. My advice- don't fall for the promotion scam!
