Why is it that I have AMC but if I want to watch specific episodes of previous seasons, you want to charge me $1.99 per episode? I already pay for your service to have that channel, so why am I having to pay additional charges?
I pay for HBO. If I want to watch an episode of True Detective from season 1, you want to charge me $1.99 per episode on demand. Why is that? I already pay for your service and pay an additional fee to have HBO.
How about you quit nickle and diming for channel services and TV Content in which I already pay for.

Don't know about AMC, but HBO doesn't carry everything on demand, but you can get it via HBOGO.
You can watch that on your PC, smart phone, roku (or similar) or smart tv.
Not sure if it is Verizon of HBO that mandates this.

Ask the network that question. Most likely the network is charging Verizon more money to carry their programming for on demand and they are simply passing on the costs.

If YOu are seeing a 1.99 fee you are making the mistake of not choicing the AMC VOD but some other location such as Verizon Flexview.
Select VOD, Free & Premium, TV SHOW, by Network, (a-c), AMC. Similarly for HBO VOD, Plus you can use HBOGO web access for HBO shows.
