How to get a guy wire removed

A utility pole has a guy wire attached to a tree on my property. Since tree is being removed for safety reasons, how can I get Verizon to relocate existing guy wire?

You could try 1-800-VERIZON or just have the tree service remove it from your tree and just let it dangle. Or call your local town, village, city engineers office. They may be able to help.
