Verizon has a scholarship, at the time of this post, called the BookMark Scholarship. It is worth $500 dollars, and requires an essay about how will your life be like if the internet did not exist. I saw the rules , and I was applicable for this scholarship. After writing and revising an essay for two days, I went to submit my scholarship. When I tried, the website said that there was an error trying to submit the scholarship, and to try again later. I waited for the next day, and tried submitting it again. I tried to look for contact information on the website to ask them about this issue, however there was nothing beside a mailing address. I called a Verizon representative. They informed me that while this scholarship is part of Verizon, they were not aware of the scholarship at all. With no way to contact the scholarship and Verzion not being aware of its own scholarship, I have to ask: Is this scholarship even real? And if so, what can I do to ensure that my hardwork did not go to waste, and apply for the scholarship? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Spawnhomie28,
Please be advised that http://www.verizoninternet.com is not a Verizon site and is not associated with Verizon in any way. That being the case, we cannot vouch for the authenticity of their purported scholarship offerings.
Their website does say they are an authorized reseller in very small font.
They certainly make themselves out to look like Verizon (starting with their URL).
Easy to see how somone could confuse them as being Verizon.
