Moving-restarting services

Hello - due to an upcoming move and closing timeframes my family will be suspending our triple play services in May and restarting our plan again in early July. We have triple play preferred with 25/25.  We have 9 months remaining on our 2 yr contract and would like to continue our existing contract.  I was told they could not restart services in our upcoming home due to our existing plan being "grandfathered in" and our plan would need to be upgraded to newer speeds with higher equipment and fee charges which would increase our bill.  Has anyone had any experiences with similar issues?
