So I was looking at the products offering, and I noticed this quantum tv service they call it. Basically, it's upgraded DVR's with 6 or 12 show recording capability rather than the two I have now. Now, all I need is the 6, and when I went through I found that curently with 4 HD boxes and 1 DVR I'm paying $47.96 + $19.99 DVR service = $67.95. Now, when I checked and added the service to my cart it quoted my $41.99 + $22 a month = $63.99 which is a little cheaper. I didn't beleive this, so I chatted the rep online and he/she confirmed. I then asked any surprises I'm not aware of? Why would upgraded equipment be cheaper? They said no catches only $24.99 upgrade fee, which is ok. I'm just asking anyone here about your upgrade experience or if their are any catches. Thanks in advance.

There's no catch. For someone like you who has a lot of boxes the upgrade makes it well worth it plus you wont need all of the bulky boxes anymore. Just the 1 media server and whatever amount of the client boxes.
One major benefit of the new VMS is it has full 1080p and not just 1080i.

Thanks for the reply! I understand that my current DVR recordings won't be carried over but will my scheduled programs? Finally, I hope this arris equipment is less buggy than the cisco....

Thank you for the reply
So I orderd, only one catch but minor. They removed my $5 a month 75/35 internet service discount. Why I have no idea since I didn't change any TV or Internet package only upgraded hardware. Now the new DVR quantum service is $4 cheaper than what I pay now, so effectively I'm paying $1 more. I'm not going to complain about it, but I have no idea why that was removed.
It shouldn't have been removed. You changed the TV service not your internet service.
