Possible to Change Renewal Agreement Online?

My triple play agreement is up next month, and I don't want to renew it.  Instead, I want to keep only Internet and Phone --and I don't want to commit to 24 months, either.  Is this something I can do online myself, or do I have to speak with a Verizon rep and listen to him/her plead with me to renew my current triple play package?

Thanks.

You don't have to renew your contract once it's up. You can go month to month, but prices will be higher. How much depends on your plan and what the going rates are where you live. You can most certainly ditch tv and keep only internet and phone.

Just be warned that usually when you downgrade from a triple play to a double play it actually ends up costing more.

If you are removing a service in which case you would be removing tv you would have to call in to do it. Talk to retention because if it ends up costing more for just internet and phone they might be able to give you a deal to keep the tv and still stay out of contract.

Thanks, Roaddog.  Using a neighbor's address, I built my own bundle of Internet and Digital Voice and was shown a price of $69.99/mo. for the first 12 months.  This is significantly cheaper than my current Triple Play. I'll call rentention and see what they can do.  Thanks again!

No problem. Don't expect them to give you new customer promo pricing though which is what is showing for your neighbors address as you aren't a new customer. They will never give an exsisting customer new customer pricing. It is a good price to know though to see how much more they will want from you and you'll be able to base some decisions on it.

Hey..just wanted to know the outcome of your issue. I'm in the exact same boat and I'm wondering if I should even try to get internet and phone with Verizon or just switch to TWC.
