There have been a bunch of Verizon trucks in my neighborhood. What is going on?

I'm in Massachusetts.  Over the past week or so there have been a whole bunch (at least a half-dozen, maybe more) Verizon trucks doing work in my neighborhood.  Is this ordinary maintenance?  Should I be prepared for my FIOS to go out soon?

It's not a problem, I'm just super curious.

It really could be anything. They could be upgrading lines or fixing something. The could also be doing some 5G work. Can’t hurt to stop by and ask them.
