Verizon Truck Driver Blocking Fire Hydrant

hi,

There's a verizon truck parking on a residential street blocking a fire hydrant overnight every day now in Brooklyn NY. We called the police several times and they had issued several tickets. The police is saying that's all they can do since they cant tow the truck. in case of a fire breaks out, the firefighters will have issue accessing the fire hydrant. this is putting the residents here in danger. we don't know who to contact in verizon. the driver is clearly not engaging in business. He is using the fire hydrant spot for his personal parking now every single day. How to resolve this issue. If theres a life loss or damage due to not able to have access to the hydrant, is verizon be liable for the loss? Please chime in and provide a solution. Thanks

hi,

We have a verizon truck parking on a residential for a month from late afternoon to overnight every day next to the fire hydrant. We dont think the driver is conducting any business there. Police came here issues a couple of tickets and it doesn't deter the driver's irresponsible action. if there is an emergency, the firefighters wont be able to access the fire hydrant. all it takes is one accident and the people living here are living in danger every day now because of this driver. the driver just pick any open spot where the fire hydrant located on the same street. We spoke to the police and we dont know what else can we do. We have the license plate and the DOT number. Can verizon take action on this internally asap. the next step we can think of is to speak with the council people. But we thought we could communicate this to verizon first so they can deal with the driver internally. This drive is doing it for several weeks every day now. We cant turn a blind eye anymore. the driver needs to be reprimanded by taking chance in our lives here!
