When is FIOS coming to my area Fl 34288??

I live in North Port, Fl 34288 and part of my town has FIOS, when are the rest go us getting FIOS? I have Directv and would rather have FIOS my only other option is Comcast !! Can anyone give an answer? No one at customer service can !!

Verizon announced several years ago that they would not be rolling out FiOS to any new areas.  Something to do with ROI, I suspect.  Spend some time with Google and you'll find lots of articles about this.

If you happen to live on the line between FiOS and non-FiOS areas I can understand why it's frustrating.  Unfortunately, Verizon drew the line somewhere and they aren't going to change it.

If you really want FiOS, the only immediate action you can take is to move to an area that has it.
