utility pole easement

I am starting a project that will include building on one side of my house in which there are utility poles running through the property.  After a survey I was told that the utility map did not show the poles with an easement or who owned the poles.  I know them to be owned by Verizon because someone was here a few months ago checking pole integrity and I asked them who owned them.  They don't actually have Verizon on them and now only run power.  I need to find out about easement rights regarding the poles on my property.  I do not have an actual Verizon account, so it seems impossible to call anyone and there is no direct service number for poles.  Does anyone have an idea of who I can contact?
