Pixel 4 slow to hear voice after connection

My new Pixel 4 is working fine in all areas but when I answer a call there is a delay of a few seconds before my caller and I can hear each other.

All the latest software, have rebooted, some software removed, and options regarding call filtering or captions turned off.

Any thoughts?

Your concerns over this delay make perfect sense. Let's do some troubleshooting to figure out what is causing this. Has the phone done this the entire time? Does it only do it in specific areas? Is this with every call? StanleyC_VZW

The issue seems to have gone away. Not sure if it was the latest updates or what. Will update if it happens again.
