I want to get the Pixel 4a 5g. There are 2 versions:

1. Unlocked, with 5g that won't work on Verizon for $500

2. Verizon version with UW 5g, for $600

I don't care about 5g, and certainly don't want to pay $100 more for #2 as a result. Can I still activate/use #1 on Verizon without problems?

Nobody likes problems, thanks for reaching out, PixelDude. You can check a devices compatibility with our network using the link provided below.

This is a canned response that does not answer the question. With your link, I need to enter an IMEI to check compatibility. I don't have an IMEI to check because I haven't bought the device, which I need to know is compatible before I buy. If I did, I wouldn't need to ask this question at all.

Please put some effort forth instead of relying on platitudes.

We appreciate your feedback, and we will use it to improve our processes moving forward, PixelDude. Systematically, it is very difficult for us to check compatibility without the IMEI number. We recommend customers to obtain the IME number from the seller and use our BYOD website to ensure this device will work on the network. Please let us know if this helps provide clarity.
