Now that VZ has rolled out a new UI for viewing tv, can we expect a similar rollout of live streaming tv on iPad / iPod or in browser while on my homenetwork?
Also, why are some VOD titles only available as flexview? I wanted to rent a movie the other day but was not interested in paying the $12-13 for flexview, yet no other option for renting was offered. Why is this?

Ok, I guess my question was, if I don't want to own that title, why couldn't I just rent it like a normal VOD program
Basically the way it goes... is that when a movie is release on DVD is also available to purchase digitally through FiOS TV or our web site and mobile apps. After several weeks that movie is available for rental... for a few months... and then it goes back to only being able to purchase.
But certainly I share your vision of being to purchase, subscribe, rent to any content based on your personal preference... however that dream will take some time to come true.. the studios call the shots on this stuff...

Today you can view content from brands like Epix, TNT, HBO, Cinemax, CNN, ESPN, etc on your computer... in and out of your home.
Tablets, game consoles, connected blu ray players, smart TV's are all in progress as eligible devices for view FiOS TV content... our public statement last year was "sometime in 2011".
Last Flex View means you can watch the content on your TV, but also your computer and supported mobile devices (HTC Thunderbolt or Motorola Droid X). The title you were referencing is "purchase to own" not a rental... yours forever.
Eventually all the On Demand content will have the Flex View capability to watch on any device and in any place.
