I have a Rev I router and a Rev D router. The I Router is 80' from the ONT wired with cat5e and coax for the tv. I would like to add the second router about 30' from the ONT in the other direction. My question is, can I use the D router as primary and not use DHCP and keep my I router wired and configured the way it is now? If this will work, how would I configure the two routers?
Those instructions would be done to the Rev D router correct? I was wondering if I am using the Rev D as the primary but only for wireless and wanted to keep the Rev I as secondary and also handle DHCP will those instructions work? if so on which router?
I am trying to utilize ethernet cabling that is already run and not havr to run another from Rev I to Rev D.
Thanks
