I just bought a new blueray player that has an HDMI hookup to my TV - but in order to hook it up, I have to unplug the HDMI plug from the DVR. How can I hook up both to my TV, please? Thank you for the help!
Assuming your TV only has 1 HDMI input, try using component cables to an alternate input on the TV.

Google "HDMI splitter" to see devices that allow you to connect more than one HDMI device to a single display. Various models will accommodate various input devices. In addition seriously consider the suggestion by "jackmcgann" about component cables from the DVR to the TV. In some cases they provide a better and more reliable hookup than HDMI.
Thanks for the help - will see what I can figure out! 🙂
Thanks much - I will try the alternate cables first, I have so many. Buy thanks for the info on the splitter! 🙂
