Home Control (service no longer offered / products / recorders?)

So i was informed that HMC is no longer available, however the service would still be available for existing customers. However, i would like to add more cameras, add a network IP camera recorder, and a few Z-wave options.

My question is, is there anyway to add more cameras and IP camera recorder on the existing platform of HMC? or must i go independant of Verizon. 

Can i use my IP cameras if i do not go through HMC. Can I use my Z-Wave switches purchased on a different provider?

the 2GB storage for three cameras really isnt enough. 

used to love verizon but lately they have been dropping lots of features which i loved about all their Home, Mobile, Business needs. hmmm makes you think...
